OSRS Rune Mysteries Quest Guide

Rune Mysteries is a straightforward quest that unlocks the runecrafting skill, allowing players to mine rune essence within the Rune Essence mine and use lamps and books on the runecraft skill. There are no skill or item requirements to complete it.

General Questing recommendations

• Enable RuneLite Quest Helper in your RuneLite plugin section.  
• Hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog.  

Recommended items for Rune Mysteries

• Varrock teleport
• Necklace of passage to teleport to the Wizard's tower.

Walkthrough of Rune Mysteries

• Talk to Duke Horacio on the first floor of Lumbridge Castle. Reply 1, 1 to start the quest.

• Teleport to the Wizard's tower with the necklace of passage. This can be bought from the Grand Exchange on normal accounts

• Climb down the ladder.

• Talk to Archmage Sedridor. Reply 1, 1, 1 to receive a package.

• Teleport to Varrock and talk to Aubury in the room, southeast of Varrock. Reply 2.

• Go back to the Wizard's tower basement and talk to Archmage Sedridor to complete the quest.
